Great place to do a walk on a Sunday morning or any day of the week to be fair.
Excellent country park and cafe, Cafe is lovely with a nice array of drinks and snacks on offer. Staff here do a great job they are helpful and friendly, I enjoy coming here. This is a great place to come anytime of year and wildlife is beautiful.
Loved it! I have been to the garden centre next door many times and have lived in the area for years but had never been in the park before. We decided to take the kids for some fresh air and to burn some energy off after xmas. We went in the car park next to the garden centre and was amazed to find ample free parking, a cafe and clean toilets. Kids loved the play areas and the good variety of ducks/swans on the lake. We even saw a highland cow! Great walk, my son loved climbing on the old canal locks. Very muddy so wear wellies, Would recommend putting reins on toddlers as theres a lot of ponds and the muddy paths can be slippy. Great cafe, lovely hot choc and a toasty. Fab, cheap outing enjoyed by all!
Took the dog for a walk today, nice cafe which let the dog in so we didn't have to sit outside.Plenty of play areas for kids and lots of different walks around depending on how fit you feel.Really enjoyed the visit and look forward to returning.
