Kingfisher is a rare gem.As a parent with a young child with additional / complex needs you have some daunting decisions to make. School shouldn't be one of them when this place exists. There is a real family feel to the place and the staff are beacons for the schools values. Ann and her staff could not provide a safer, supportive setting if they tried. A credit to the community.
I was a student at kingfisher I thought the support was absolutely brilliant fantastic atmosphere it just made me feel welcome thank you so much kingfisher you are number 1.
My son has just finished his last day at summer school and his last day ever at Kingfisher. They have done an amazing job giving him the best start possible I cannot thank them enough. The teaching staff are fantastic both loving and truly talented in what they do and my son is going to miss them all. the school facilities are up there with the best, I had a birthday party and had friends ( all whom have the same syndrome) attend from all over the North west, Wales and Hull all of whom where impressed if not jealous that their children didn't have a school like it. Fantastic school for sen students. I have not come across a school which is dedicated as kingfisher towards the kids who are less privileged. Many of my cousins attend this school and their parents could not praise this school more. I have personally met the principle and staff and they are absolutely fantastic. Always looking for ways to help the kids and make it easy for the parents. Recommend anyone to send their kids to this special school as it is a fantastic and a brilliant special school!
I can't praise this school enough for the love & dedication they have for the children. My daughter attended this school for 7 years & the care she received was fantastic. It is nice as a parent when you have a child with such complex health needs that all her needs are met & she's so safe at school & that's down to the lovely dedicated staff that work there. The school is beautiful it has such a warm friendly feel to it, I loved popping in seeing everyone. Keep up the fantastic work kingfisher xx
