This place is not at all bad if I remember correctly, the breakfast was decent and the location not far from the town centre. Not that I get to go to the centre of just about any town I visit. Google maps informs me that I've visited over 400 towns and cities in the last year! That can't be true, surely? I've seen nothing of any of them! Tsk!
Thank you to all staff that worked the 3 days we stayed. We arrived from Ireland on Christmas Eve and needed a last minute room for my daughter. The staff were so helpful and arranged an extra room for 2 nights. Everyone was friendly, helpful and our rooms were clean and very comfortable. Facilities at the hotel were fab, and the food was lovely. We really cannot thanks the staff enough, everyone was just so helpful.
Went for Christmas day lunch. Food was very good , atmosphere welcoming,staff were exceptional. Big pat on the back Smokies!
Nice hotel close to Ashton. Looks to have been refurbished. Welcoming front of house staff. Room lovely and clean. Only downsides would be coffee in room was out of date which is very minor and at breakfast time would have been nice for a member of staff to serve hot drinks as most people were having problems with the dispenser anyway and for most of our breakfast there were staff just stood in a huddle talking. But having said that I would stay here again lovely place.
This is a perfectly good hotel if you need a place to stay for the night. The rooms are clean and the restaurant is fine. The 5 star review is based on this being a 3 star hotel, I'm not suggesting it's a 5 hotel. Good value rooms.
