I went to Skid-mores this morning to repair a basic puncture on my electric scooter. The man at the Counter did not pay attention to the scooter but instead handed me a 'Fix it your self' puncture kit which was quite difficult to apply. I do not recommend going to this store if it isn't for a bike puncture.
Unfortunately the man at reception didn't appear to be too knowledgeable re tyres. Sold an inner tube where half of the presta valve unscrewed and came away (just with using a pump) and then proceeded to explode at only 60psi. On reading, it looks like the ownership changed hands a few years ago, so a shame to see it now go down hill. Avoid.
This is your proper " old school" bike shop, they know what they are doing and are very cheap.Took my bike in after a fall, bent pedal, bent gearing and a couple of other bent and loose things,,,,, come back in half an hour they said,,, thatll do for me.I would certainly recommend you check this shop out before buying from halfords/ebay
