I've been looking at buying a new car for a couple of years now. Previously, I'd walked into a couple of showrooms affiliated with other car companies and had felt the hard sell immediately. They decided what I wanted without looking at my preferences. Needless to say, they didn't make the sale. When I walked into Mazda Oldham I was looking at making the decision between two cars, one Mazda and one from another company. I was greeted by Matt at first who left a perfect impression. He booked me in for a test drive with another colleague for a time that suited me that weekend. There was no pressure and he understood that I was going to see another car. He never attempted to bad mouth the other company. He also made a note of my rather specific requirements to make sure they could fulfill them and called me later that day as promised to confirm. For the test drive I was met by David. He's a good judge of character and was quick to see that for me the process had to be an enjoyable one for me to make a purchase. He explained the features but didn't overload me at the same time. It was more of a drip feed. He allowed me to test drive two cars so that I could make a clear decision. I knew by this stage that it was the Mazda 2 that I wanted and had swiftly forgotten about the other option I had in mind.Upon return I met Manager Dave also and we discussed costs and options. He tailored everything to my requirements. I'd already done my research online and had an idea of the package I was looking for. He tailored this to match my needs more closely. It was a remarkably pain free and easy experience for such a large purchase! I was kept informed through delivery and with after service. I cannot recommend the whole team enough.
